Our Community is built different..

When you first walk into Novi CrossFit, there is a sense of nostalgia. Inside on the porch, there is Coach Cait's handwritten goals list on the blackboard from 2017, along with chipped floor paint and photographs of many cherished moments. The building has hosted hundreds of members over the last 11 years, and it has changed ownership once or twice as well.

But today, in 2024, you can still walk in and feel at home. You're greeted by familiar faces, all of whom have lent a helping hand to keep the gym alive—the very essence of the atmosphere. The magic of Novi CrossFit isn't in the building, the programming, or even one coach; it's in the community of people striving to be the best version of themselves for a tiny part of their day.

We were lucky enough to host a Rise Up and Move event that partnered with Compete with a Cure. This annual event encourages our community and beyond to move for 60 minutes in whatever capacity they can. With the help of Novi CrossFit's Coach Kim Taylor Papp and Owner Jeff Pelon, the event raised $1,100 to support young women in our community and aid in the fight against cancer.

When some hear about "CrossFit," there is often fear—a worry about working out with others, a fear of being judged, getting injured, or "getting too bulky." However, when members talk about CrossFit, they think of the workouts done with friends, the events where others cheered them on, and the moments they came together to celebrate each other's accomplishments. CrossFit is built on community, and that's what we are continuing to cultivate: hosting more community events, bringing people together, and helping more individuals feel part of something larger.

This is the very reason why Novi CrossFit continues to thrive—because of YOU. The foundational community we have within our doors is invaluable. So, we thank you for helping us help others, and we can't wait to see you again soon.
